1. For best results, surface to be repaired should be above 32°F (00C). Remove gas cap to vent tank. Insure adequate ventilation.
2. Drain tank or rub enclosed yellow mastic stick in hole to temporarily stop leak.
3. Sand area about 1″ around hole to bare metal. Remove dust and wipe clean.
4. Cut fiberglass cloth to cover sanded area.
5. Mix repair epoxy as follows: Work quickly, mixed epoxy
will start to harden within 5 minutes. WARNING: Epoxy pouch may become HOT to the touch after mixing.
a. Firmly apply pressure to lower half of pouch to burst center seam.
b. Mix contents thoroughly (approximately 30 seconds).
c. Cut pouch open and apply 1/2 of epoxy mix over damaged area with enclosed brush.
d. Place fiberglass reinforcing patch on epoxy and cover with remaining mix. Taper and smooth edges.
e. Wait at least 20 minutes or until patch is tack free before replacing gas cap or refilling tank.
NOTE: This product IS NOT for use on PLASTIC fuel tanks.
